Agtually…Living in the country brings many types of visitors throughout the year. One such unwelcome visitor that has decided to run freely around my home at night and other quite times is a little grey mouse. I was sitting on the sofa watching television the other night when I caught the sign of movement out of the corner of my eye. My first thought, of course, was a rather large, furry spider…of course I would think that, ha!! Then my senses became straight and I realize it was a little mouse instead. I quickly yelled for Chris to come down the stairs to catch the mouse and return it to the outdoors.
Chris’ first thought was to let Killer Cat play in the house and catch the mouse. We walked outside and called Killer Cat to come inside. Chris picked him up and carried him to the living room to where we think the mouse hid beneath the loveseat. Well, being the independent cat that he is Killer Cat wasn’t having any of this mouse chasing mess…he jumped up on the sofa where he wanted to snuggle with us instead. So after a little snuggling I carried Killer Cat back outside as Chris went to get the traps instead.
Being a country wife has taken a little getting used over the years…still I vow that I don’t have to share my home with a mouse any day!!!
